BRAINERD — The Brainerd Fire Department responded to numerous calls from people stuck in an elevator, to smoking vehicles and alarms.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, the department was called at 5:40 p.m. to a report of smoke on the 14200 block of Inglewood Drive in Baxter. It was found to be fire extinguisher residue.

Firefighters were called at 9:12 p.m. Thursday to a vehicle smoking after a car versus deer crash at the intersection of Highway 210 and Jordan Road. The vehicle was releasing steam from a damaged radiator. Minor injuries were reported.

On Wednesday, crews responded at 5:52 p.m. to a crash at the intersection of Highway 25 and Red Pine Road. Crews assisted with traffic control and cleanup on scene. Minor injuries were reported. Also on Wednesday, the fire department responded at 9:2
