Toyota is working to rectify a fault in more than 100,000 vehicles that may prevent their parking cameras from working properly.

The Japanese auto brand is calling this a "Customer Service Exercise" rather than a recall, and is offering reprogrammed software free of charge to owners of all affected bZ4X, C-HR, Camry, Corolla Cross, Kluger, LandCruiser 300 Series, Mirai, Prado and RAV4 vehicles.

"The subject vehicles are equipped with a Parking Assist ECU, which is a component of the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system that displays the rearview image," the company says in a notice on its website.
