Two days after several rounds of firing took place at a house in Mohali’s Phase 7, panic struck Zirakpur on Sunday morning when about five shots were fired at the son of Hotel MM Crown’s owner on Patiala Road.

According to eyewitnesses, the bike-borne assailant opened fire in broad daylight at the hotelier’s son Shubham while he was standing at the parking area near the busy Car Bazaar area, narrowly missing the target. Though no one was injured, two parked cars were hit by bullets, creating chaos and fear among locals. Police and forensic teams reached the scene and collected several spent cartridges. One bullet casing was found lodged in a car bonnet.
