CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Lowcountry Local First (LLF) hosted a community block party to support local businesses and boost economic activity in the area.
Business owners like Chinenyem Nwadiugwu, who founded She Biology, says this event helps her in a variety of different ways.
"It helps me personally and professionally," Nwadiugwu said. "Personally by building my confidence it helps me teach others about the skin care products. Professionally, I want to have an authentic touch with the community so they can know what She Biology is."
LLF provides advocacy services, mentoring and networking opportunities. Whether it's your first rodeo or you've been running a local business for a while, the non-profit says they're here to assist anyway they can, which helps benefit the overall economy.
