A collision near Highway 400 northbound at King has closed two left lanes and sent at least seven people to hospital with injuries, officials say.
OPP reported the two-vehicle collision at 8:18 p.m. on their X account . According to police, at least one person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
York EMS said they were called to the scene around 6:41 p.m. for a “multi-vehicle” collision and responded with multiple units, alongside one multi-patient unit from Toronto paramedics, a spokesperson told the Star.
Seven people were assessed at the scene and six were transported to a local hospital, York EMS said. One person was transported to a trauma centre, according to them.
