The Blue Ridge Flyer departs Staunton every day in early fall on a 62-mile round trip to Ivy and back, carrying passengers through rolling countryside, orchards and farms, and the peaks and valleys of the Blue Ridge Mountains covered in an arras of orange, red and yellow. It travels up and down Afton Mountain and through two tunnels cut through the Blue Ridge: the 3,984-foot Blue Ridge Tunnel and the 100-foot Little Rock Tunnel.
