BINGHAM COUNTY, Idaho — A small aircraft crashed into the Snake River near the Porterville Bridge on Sunday evening, with the pilot walking away with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Bingham County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) , the Emergency Communications Center received a call at 6:05 p.m. regarding the crash. The pilot, who was the only occupant of the plane, made contact at a nearby residence to request help.
Blackfoot Police, Bingham County Patrol and Marine units, and Blackfoot Fire/EMS responded to the scene, BCSO stated. The Federal Aviation Administration was notified in accordance with policy and provided preliminary information.
