Public trust in Scotland's largest local authority has plummeted with just one-third of Glaswegians saying they have faith in the SNP-run council to run the city.
An annual household survey among residents found just 15 per cent were satisfied with roads maintenance and 40 per cent were content with the level of street cleaning.
But the dip from 35 per cent to 33 per cent among Glaswegians who say they trust the council will be causing the biggest headaches for senior staff in George Square.
It comes as the city continues to struggle with a growing homelessness crisis partly caused by a huge rise in asylum seekers travelling to Glasgow to take advantage of Scotland's more liberal laws on providing emergency accommodation.
