Srinagar, Nov 10 : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said they recovered a cache of explosive material and an assault rifle from Haryana following purported disclosures from two arrested doctors.
According to police sources, a coordinated effort led to the recovery of approximately 300 kg of material used for making explosives, along with an AK-47 rifle and ammunition. The seizure was made in Faridabad, Haryana, and is linked to investigations involving arrested doctors.
In the operation, the J&K Police detained two doctors suspected of having links with banned terrorist networks. One of them, Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, son of Abdul Majeed Rather from Qazigund, Anantnag, had been working as a senior resident at Government Medical College, Anantnag, until October 24, 2024.
