The Toledo Neighborhood Block Watch is a partnership between community volunteers and law enforcement in order to create safer and more valued neighborhoods. In August, 2023, I took over our neighborhood’s block watch program. Due to the coronavirus pandemic many block watch groups stopped meeting.
The city uses many tools to help law enforcement fight crime like shot spotter, interrupters, surveillance cameras, and officers patrolling neighborhoods. Having a block watch does not cost any money and being a good neighbor means looking out for one and other and taking notice when things seem out of the ordinary.
