The Chattanooga women’s basketball team used a dominant fourth-quarter run to rally past Lipscomb, earning a hard-fought 59-56 road victory Sunday afternoon at Allen Arena.

Trailing 44-41 entering the final frame, the Mocs (2-1) erupted with an 11-0 run over the first three minutes, flipping the script and seizing control of the game.

Gianna Corbitt sparked the surge with a putback and a three-point play. Caia Elisaldez capped it off with a fast-break bucket to make it 52-44 with 6:58 remaining.

The Mocs held Lipscomb without a bucket for five minutes and 47 seconds, extending its run to 15-1 and shot 47 percent in the final period.

Corbitt and Ford each poured in 15 points to lead the Mocs, with Corbitt adding seven rebounds and three steals and Ford snared five steals. Izzy McPherson
