Mangaluru, Nov 10: St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor students exhibit excellent performances in VTU State Level Powerlifting Championship organised by RVITM, Bengaluru on November 7 & 8.

The teams showcased remarkable skill and determination under the guidance of Vaneesha V Rodrigues, Physical Education Director (PED) and Sudheer, assistant PED.

Shourya S Shetty, MBA 3rd sem, secured first place in below 52 kg category VTU State Level Powerlifting Championship by lifting Squat: 70 kg, bench press: 47.5 kg, deadlift: 95 kg, total weight: 212.5 kg.

Dhawan Rai S, IV yr ECE, secured silver medal in below 59kg category VTU State Level Powerlifting Championship by lifting Squat:172.5 kg, bench press:97.5 kg, deadlift:195 kg, total weight: 465 kg.
