Srinagar, Nov 10: The political confrontation between National Conference (NC) chief Omar Abdullah and BJP leader Sunil Sharma continued on Monday, a day after Abdullah swore on the Quran denying claims that he had approached the BJP for an alliance in 2024.

On Sunday, Sharma had challenged Abdullah to swear on the Quran, accusing him of secretly seeking the BJP’s support in exchange for statehood restoration.

Abdullah responded on social media, stating that he had not sought any alliance with the BJP in 2024 for statehood or any other purpose.

On Monday, Sharma told KNS, Abdullah himself had previously indicated that BJP members had offered him a position, which he had rejected.
