Parsons Dance founder to be honored at Palm Desert Choreography Festival

In many ways, David Parson's life story embodies a Journey song (or Miley Cyrus song, depending on what demographic you belong to).

At the age of 17, the artist hopped on a train from Kansas City to New York City with nothing but $70 and a dream, and less than a decade later, he founded Parsons Dance — now one of the most respected contemporary dance companies in the world.
