Delhi woke up on Monday morning with air quality in the severe category. According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), air quality at 7 am was in the very poor category, with the air quality index (AQI) at 372. As Delhiites continue to raise their voice against the hazardous air quality, former Jammu and Kashmir director-general of police Shesh Paul Vaid wrote online that a 15-day trip to Delhi caused him and his family members to have runny noses and throat pain .
