The 79 year old music legend opened the annual ceremony, which was attended by senior Royals and military veterans, with an energetic display that proved polarising among television viewers.
While the evening was designed to honour the nation's fallen servicemen and women, some spectators felt his animated dance moves were "not exactly in the spirit of remembrance."
