Two men have been charged in connection with a 'serious assault' in Glasgow city centre.

Emergency services were called to Gordon Street at around 12.40pm on Thursday, November 6, following reports of an incident.

A man was rushed from the scene to hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.

Officers say that the two men, aged 37 and 40, have since been charged in connection with the incident. They will appear in court on a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Glasgow. The incident happened around 12.40pm on Gordon Street on Thursday, 6 November, when a man was seriously assaulted.

"He was taken to hospital for treatment. The men, aged 37 and 40, have been released on an undertaking
