The October 2025 wave of the Ipsos Global Advisor What Worries the World survey shows that public perception about India’s future has further improved, with 66% of citizens believing that India is headed in the right direction, marking a +3% surge in optimism over the previous month.
This positive trend was seen among citizens of most APAC markets, with Singapore (81%) and Malaysia (66%) placed ahead of India, and Indonesia (63%), South Korea (61%), and Thailand (56%) emerging as other upbeat markets. Australia displayed near polarized views (48%).
In contrast, most global markets showed a pessimistic outlook about their countries’ future, with citizens in France (8%) and Peru (9%) being the least optimistic about their nations’ prospects.
