MOORHEAD — A former Moorhead City Council member who served on the board for 20 years has died.
Millie MacLeod, who served on the Moorhead City Council from 1977 to 1997, died at the age of 91 on Oct. 17 in Temple Terrace, Florida, according to her obituary.
MacLeod was a star member of the council, according to former Moorhead Mayor Morrie Lanning. Lanning served on the council from 1974 to 1979 and as mayor from 1980 to 2001.
“She was a very capable and thoughtful member of the City Council,” Lanning said.
