(WSPA)— Due to the wintry conditions, several schools in Western North Carolina will be delayed or closed Monday morning. The following schools have changed their schedules:
Asheville City Schools buses will not operate on icy roads this morning. Schools will be on a normal schedule and bus drivers will use their best judgment on roads that seem icy. The school district has a list of roads that are not traveled by bus when this announcement is made.
North Buncombe, Enka, and Erwin Districts of Buncombe County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students today, Monday. All other BCS districts are on a regular schedule.
Madison County Schools will be closed for students but operate as an Optional Teacher Workday.
Maryland Community College will operate as an E-Learning Day.
