Pune: In a major crackdown, Pune police have arrested a man who allegedly posed as a doctor for more than 32 years in the Bhavani Peth’s Kasewadi area, without holding any valid medical qualifications or registration.

The arrest was made after the Pune Municipal Corporation ( PMC ) Health Department filed a complaint as part of its intensified campaign against bogus medical practitioners. According to the Indian Express , Dr Vasundhara Patil, a medical officer at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), has lodged the first information report (FIR) in this case at the Khadak police station on May 2, 2025.
