Kitsap Credit Union has announced an equity investment in an AI and data company, making Bremerton-based KCU the first credit union approved by the Department of Financial Institutions to make this type of business investment under a recently expanded investment authority in state law.

The business partnership in D8TAOPS , based in Oregon, is something the credit union says signals the beginning of an effort to modernize operations and improve customer experience.
