Glen Rock police are investigating a reported fight involving a group of 11th-grade students that allegedly occurred on school grounds earlier this week, authorities said.

Officers responded to Glen Rock High School around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, after receiving an anonymous report of a possible physical altercation, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said in a Nov. 6 release.

Police say students may have used a blunt object to hurt another student, Ackermann said.

The chief noted that the report was based “solely on unsubstantiated third-party information.”

Responding officers identified three male juveniles who were involved, according to Ackermann. The parents of all identified juveniles were contacted and provided their accounts of what may have occurred, police said. They were also advised of the procedures available to file civilian complaints on behalf of their child if they so choose.

The incident has been documented, and school officials were notified. The department’s juvenile officer is reviewing the matter, Ackermann said.
