Dharmendra, the beloved Bollywood veteran, is currently under observation at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The 89-year-old actor was admitted for routine medical tests, and recent reports suggesting he was on ventilator support have been clarified by his team. On November 10, it was reported that he was in critical condition, but both his team and his son Sunny Deol assured fans that there is no cause for concern.
Sunny Deol's team stated, "It’s rumour mongering like always, Sir is getting better. He's under observation. There's nothing to worry." Similarly, Dharmendra's team confirmed, "He undergoes a series of tests periodically given his age, and is in the hospital for the same. He is absolutely fine and there’s nothing to be worried about."
Hema Malini, Dharmendra's wife, visited him at the hospital, and videos of her arrival were shared on social media. The couple, who married in 1980, have two daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol.
Dharmendra has been a prominent figure in Indian cinema since the 1960s, known for his roles in classics like Sholay and Chupke Chupke. He is set to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8. His upcoming film, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is scheduled for release on December 25, coinciding with the release of another film starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday.
Fans can rest assured that Dharmendra is recovering well and continues to be an iconic figure in the film industry.
