Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar with son Parth
A land deal involving Amadia Enterprises LLP, a firm linked to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar, has sparked controversy over the alleged illegal sale of 40 acres of government land in Mundhwa, Pune.
The land, classified as ‘Mahar Vatan’ property originally belonging to the Scheduled Caste community, was leased to the Botanical Survey of India (BSI) in 1973 for 15 years, and the lease was extended in 1988 for another 50 years.
BSI has been conducting its research and office work there since then, paying just ₹1 per year in rent. Official records still list the government as the owner of the land.
However, on May 20 this year, Sheetal Tejwani, acting on behalf of 272 original landowners, sold the land to Amadia Enterprise
