The World Cup-winning Indian women’s cricket team is likely to appoint its first foreign strength and conditioning (S&C) coach soon.
The BCCI has already made several recruitments in the S&C department at the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru.
According to BCCI sources, Bangladesh men’s S&C coach Nathan Kiely is in discussions with the Indian board, and there is a strong possibility he might join the COE.
India’s current S&C coach, AI Harrsh, has done a commendable job, culminating in the World Cup title. However, it is understood that the BCCI might have other assignments planned for him.
Kiely, in addition to his work with the Bangladesh national team, has served as an assistant coach with the New South Wales first-class side.
