SRINAGAR : Jammu Kashmir Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, on Monday chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana across the Union Territory, directing the administration to expedite installations and strengthen public outreach for the flagship rooftop solar initiative. During the meeting, it was revealed that 13,615 rooftop solar systems have already been installed under the scheme, with 5,413 consumers receiving zero electricity bills — a key milestone in JK’s clean energy transition. The Union Territory has set a target of covering 83,500 households, of which over 76,000 applications have been received and 17,151 consumer agreements signed.
