Jimmy Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearney, has revealed that she lost relationships with family members who voted for Donald Trump.

Kimmel and the U.S. president have sparred publicly, with the latter calling for the late-night host’s cancellation. But McNearney, who is a co-head writer and executive producer on her husband’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, says that their war of words has led her to lose “relationships with people in my family because” some of them support Trump.

“It hurts me so much because of the personal relationship I now have where my husband is out there fighting this man,” McNearney said as she appeared alongside Kimmel on a recent episode of the We Can Do Hard Things podcast .
