Agartala, 10 th November 2025 : A delegation from the Tripura State Samagra Shiksha Employees’ Association submitted a memorandum to Khowai DEO Swapan Sarkar today demanding immediate release of October salaries for teachers under the Samagra Shiksha scheme. The three-point charter also called for timely disbursement of salaries on the first day of each month.

However, tensions flared as the delegation entered the officer’s chamber. Sarkar reportedly reacted angrily upon noticing the presence of media personnel demanding an explanation from the teacher leaders and questioning why media personnel had been invited. He allegedly threatened to transfer the concerned teachers within seven days.
