The 2025 edition of Warren’s traditional Veterans Day commemoration will be held on the Town Common between Church and State Streets on Tuesday, Nov. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. — the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month.
The time and date are significant, marking the armistice that ended World War I and leading to Armistice Day which later became Veterans Day.
The commemoration is the combined work of American Legion Post 104, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #11 and the Warren Association of Vietnam Veterans.
The ceremonies Tuesday will mark the third year that the Warren Veterans Day Committee will “personalize” the local commemoration by telling the stories of neighbors and forbearers, from recent conflicts to as far back as the Revolutionary War.
