Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes New School Resource Officer
CENTRE, Ala. — The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming a new member to its team. Deputy Jason Peek, a retired agent from the State Bureau of Investigations, has joined the office and will serve as the School Resource Officer at Centre Middle School.
Sheriff Jeff Shaver expressed excitement about Deputy Peek’s appointment, noting that his experience and expertise will be a valuable asset in supporting students and staff at the school.
Deputy Peek’s role will focus on safety, mentoring, and building positive relationships within the school community, ensuring a secure environment for learning.
