ST PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth , who revealed she'd run against Gov. Tim Walz in next year's gubernatorial election, announced she has chosen local attorney and entrepreneur Ryan Wilson to be her running mate.

"I am thrilled to announce that Ryan Wilson will be joining our campaign to help me retire Tim Walz and deliver Minnesotans a state they can be proud of,” said Demuth in a written statement Monday.

According to Demuth's campaign, Wilson is a lifelong Minnesotan who founded a company running trials for medical devices in the Twin Cities before running for state auditor in 2022.
