CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) -- The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) will offer free rides on its bus system to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Tuesday in honor of Veterans' Day.
The promotion is available to United States armed service veterans and active-duty military personnel on November 11. It applies to all CARTA and TriCounty Link routes across Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties.
Riders must present a military ID, service photo, veteran's cap, or other similar memento to board at no cost.
CARTA is just one of several local businesses and organizations showing their appreciation for the armed forces with a special deal on Veterans' Day.
