Edmonton shooting numbers were at the second highest they had been all year in October, continuing the upward trend since July and surpassing last year’s count.
The Edmonton Police Service recorded 16 shooting incidents in October 2025, up from the 11 reported in September and up from the 13 that were recorded in October 2024.
Year to date to October 31, there have been 119 shooting incidents within the city, a 13 per cent increase from the 105 reported during the same timeframe in 2024.
