(Cleveland)- White County will experience widespread freezing temperatures tonight, Monday, November 10, into Tuesday morning, with low temperatures in the 20s and wind chills between 15° and 25°.

The National Weather Service says there remains a small chance for light snow flurries or brief showers in the higher elevations of northeast Georgia—including northern White County.

Don Strength, Division Chief, White County Public Safety, says, “While no significant accumulation is expected, a light dusting is possible on bridges or overpasses, which could lead to slick spots during the evening commute.” Residents are reminded that unprotected or outdoor pipes may freeze and burst.

Strength also cautions residents that gusty winds could cause isolated tree damage and possible power outages.
