Man shot by state police on N.J. highway after ‘vehicular pursuit,’ officials say

A person was shot by New Jersey State Police on Sunday afternoon in Essex County after a “vehicular pursuit,” according to a statement by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.

The shooting occurred at about 2:10 p.m. near Exit 11 on I-280 , westbound, in Orange Township, ABC7 reported.

According to a statement issued by the office of New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, “one male civilian sustained injuries.”
