Stargazers have the chance to see multiple meteor showers this month.
The first meteor shower, the Northern Taurid Meteor Shower, will peak on Nov. 12.
The meteor shower is predicted to produce approximately 5 meteors per hour at its peak, with observers in Washington state potentially seeing up to 4 meteors hourly. For those in New England, the viewing prospects are similarly promising, especially during the pre-dawn hours between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
No equipment is needed. But for the best chances, avoid areas with light pollution or clouds. At this point in the month, the waning crescent moon will provide minimal interference, creating ideal conditions for meteor watching.
