SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - Communities and organizations across the nation and in the Heartland will be honoring those who have served and are serving in the U.S. military on Veterans Day.

An organization in Sikeston will be doing the same, but also year-round.

The Sikeston Honors Veterans Banner Program will be hosting a ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, to unveil banners honoring and featuring 16 veterans.

The ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Park in Sikeston.

These banners attached to light poles will be on display at the park until they are retired next year and replaced by the next lottery of veterans.
