Punjab Police on Monday categorically denied allegations that barricades had been erected by Haryana Police at Mohali to prevent protesters from entering Chandigarh.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ropar Range Nanak Singh , who personally inspected the area along with senior officials, asserted that no barricading or checking was conducted by Haryana Police at the reported location. He cautioned those spreading such false information to desist from creating unnecessary panic among the public.
