DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) - House Speaker, Nathaniel Ledbetter has appointed Rep. Rick Rehm to serve on the Military Stability Commission.

The Alabama Military Stability Commission protects and expands federal military bases and other Department of Defense infrastructures across the state.

Rehm represents House District 85 in Dothan, and he enlisted in the Army in 1990 and served with the 101st Airborne Division and 129th Aviation Brigade.

Rehm had an honorable discharge in 1994, then he served as a Department of the Army civilian employee at Fort Rucker's ARAC center, which oversees radar upgrades, facility modernization and integration with the National Airspace System.
