The incident happened just after 9 a.m. Saturday near Mesa Drive and McKellips Road. The driver crashed into a person and a pole and suffered minor injuries. The driver was treated at a nearby hospital, police said.
The pedestrian, identified as 60-year-old Salvador Briseno, died at the hospital, police said. Next of kin has been notified.
