HARDIN COUNTY, Kentucky — A road in Hardin County was shut down in both directions for several hours Monday morning after a crash.

At about 7:30 a.m., the Hardin County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that they are working a "serious accident" in West Point on US 31-W.

Both sides of the roadway are back open.

"Good morning, Hardin County! The roadways are slick and hazardous this morning — please allow yourself extra time and drive slow," the sheriff's office said.

We will update this story with more information as we learn more.
