GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The City of Grand Rapids is preparing to kick off the holiday season with the annual Santa Parade and Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
It's all set for the evening of Saturday, Nov. 22, starting with the Santa Parade at 5 p.m. and the Christmas tree lighting ceremony from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
The 104th Santa Parade starts at the corner of Division Avenue and Michigan Street NW, winds through downtown Grand Rapids and ends at Rosa Parks Circle. Santa Claus is expected to arrive at the Grand Rapids Christmas tree at about 6:30 p.m.
“This collaboration brings two beloved traditions together in one magical evening,” said Evette Pittman, the City’s special events manager. “It’s a joyful way to celebrate the season and bring our community together.”
