A pedestrian was left seriously injured after a collision with a car on a residential road in Coventry. Police were forced to close part of Upper Eastern Green Lane last night (November 9).

Blue lights lit up the dark night sky as both West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) and West Midlands Police responded to 999 calls made at just after 6pm. WMAS has confirmed to CoventryLive that an ambulance was sent to the scene following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

Medics found a man, who has not been identified, with potentially serious injuries. He had to be taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for treatment.
