Boston Red Sox legend David "Big Papi" Ortiz is coming to Connecticut next year and he will host "Toast with the Host" at Mohegan Sun.

This is the first time "Big Papi" will have a Toast with the Host event at Mohegan Sun’s annual Sun Wine & Food Fest.

Ortiz is the founder of Ozama Rum, which is distilled in the Dominican Republic.

The event will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at novelle, as Mohegan Sun.

Guests are invited to raise a glass and step into a lounge-like setting, mingle with fellow enthusiasts, experience a tasting of Ozama Rum and connect with Ortiz.
