Srinagar, Nov 10: The purple bloom of Pampore’s saffron fields has become the new face of Kashmir’s tourism revival. As the saffron harvest reaches its peak, tourists from Spain, Iran and across India are arriving in good numbers to witness the world-famous crocus flowers in full bloom.

The once-quiet town, known as the “Saffron Town of Kashmir,” is now buzzing with visitors eager to experience its rich culture, scenic beauty, and centuries-old farming tradition. The rolling saffron fields, glowing under the November sun, have turned Pampore into a living postcard. Tourists walk among the vibrant rows, taking photos and learning how the crimson threads of saffron are collected by hand. For many, it’s more than sightseeing it’s a rare chance to experience the heart of Kashmi
