ASHBURN, Va. — A person is dead after a possible explosion in the maintenance area of garden apartments in Ashburn.
Multiple 911 calls reported an explosion to emergency crews around 8 a.m. Monday, according to Loudoun County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Laura Rinehart.
When Moorefield Station crews arrived at the 21000 block of Green Stable Square, they found fire coming from dumpsters and a maintenance shed. Emergency responders found one person dead in the area.
The person was brought to the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
Both fire marshals and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
