HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) - A fire that occurred Monday morning at a Hinesville residence has displaced a family of three.

According to the Hinesville Fire Department (HFD), units were dispatched to a home on the 900 block of Mandarin Drive shortly after 10 a.m., Monday morning.

Once on the scene, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames emanating from the rear of the single-story home, which was occupied by a family of three.

The fire was isolated to the master bedroom. The dwelling sustained fire and smoke damage.

The origin of the fire is still under investigation.
