While the Regina Pats won three of their four games last week, two of the team’s rookies — Maddox Schultz and Liam Pue — were playing for their country at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

And in the end, the two 15-year-olds claimed the silver medal with Canada White after a 6-3 loss to Canada Red in Sunday’s gold medal game.

Schultz — who had a third-period goal to make it 4-3 before Canada Red scored two empty netters — was named a tournament all-star after recording nine points (six goals, three assists) in five games. Pue notched eight points (four goals, four assists) in five games.
