The lawyer for a man charged with manslaughter says he’s still waiting on “a large amount” of evidence to be shared in the case.
Twenty-three-year-old Dylan Baker was arrested following the death of 63-year-old Edgar Learning almost five months ago.
The victim was found with serious injuries in the Rabbittown area of St. John’s just after midnight on June 17th. He was rushed to hospital but died the next day.
Baker is also charged with assault with a weapon, as well as possessing and concealing one for a dangerous purpose, and breach of probation which he was free on at the time. Neither the weapon nor cause of death have been released.
Baker again appeared on video from HMP today where he’s been since his arrest.
